I am trying to be as mean a mom as I can.
Don’t take my word for it. Ask the Princesses. Ask them, particularly, at the dinner table.
I can’t help it. I have to be mean about something. They already eat way too much sugar, play way too many video games, stay up way too late and avoid way too many chores. I had to do something or lose my Mean Mom scholarship.

“National Punctuation Day stresses literacy for children and adults. Bake a cookie, cake, pastry, doughnut, or bread in the shape of a punctuation mark and become famous!
I made a comment a few weeks back about having leftover Top Ramen for dinner at my house. Photographer Jesse Skoubo wanted to know how I made Top Ramen. (Not how to make Top Ramen, I mean, but how I personally chose to cook it.)
“Isn’t there only one way to make Top Ramen?” I asked, puzzled. “Boil water, throw in the noodles, throw in the little flavor packet?”
Ah, how limited is my palate.
